Car Hire RegulationsBook here!1) Minimum Rental:The rates quoted are weekly rates but the rental can be for less than a week. The minimum rental is 3 days; this is calculated by the next way: Divide the weekly rate by 6 and multiply the result by 3, 4 or 5 days. The price for a 6 day’s rental is the same as a weekly rental. For rentals longer than a week please divide by 7 and multiply by 8, 9 days etc. 2) Extras:Baby seat: 3,5€ per day. Maximum charge 42€ per rental. In Majorca we ask a deposit of 30€. If the baby seat is returned in the same condition as supplied we refund the deposit charged. For security reasons, baby seats must be fitted by the parent or guardian. Additional drivers: 2,5€ per day. Maximum charge 25€ per driver. Maximum: 3 additional drivers per contract. No charge for: After hours 3) Petrol:The vehicles are delivered with a full tank of petrol. Full tank values pre-payable, cars should be returned with an empty tank. 4) Insurance:The insurance is fully comprehensive, but replacement keys, undercarriage, windows, clutch, traffic fines, all expenses and costs that arise from refueling with the incorrect fuel and tyres or wheels are not covered under insurance. In case of damage the hirer is liable for such items. All thefts must be reported to the police and a copy of the report obtained. Personal effects cover is not included and we recommend your clients to ensure that these are covered by their travel insurance. If clients load the car with more than the stated capacity or vehicles are taken “off-road” or drivers are found to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, the insurance cover becomes invalid. In case of accident or collision client must fill up correctly the provided form (declaración amistosa de accidente de automóvil). New ! We offer customers an extra insurance to be paid on arrival, which covers wheels, tyres, windows, undercarriage, clutch and keys. New ! young driver surcharge (obligatory for 21-24 years old): 3 euro/day, maximum charge 42 euro/rental. 5) Included in the net rates:Unlimited mileage VERY IMPORTANT: If there is a difference of more than 3 hours between arrival (collection of the car) and departure (return of the car) time we will charge an additional day’s rental. With other words, we allow your clients 3 hours grace. 6) Age Limits:Drivers must be over 21 years and have held a driving licence (international driving license) for a minimum of 12 months. No maximum age restriction or surcharge. Drivers must be in possession of a valid credit card (Master Card, VISA Card or EC Card) or debit card. American Express Cards are not accepted. No cash payment accepted either. We have always been very flexible, accepting cash payments, but unfortunately due to increased car theft we consider it necessary to take this action. We also inform you that we will only accept credit or debit card payment for cars, fuel and any other local charges by the named principal drivers using credit cards bearing their own names.
